How credits work
Estimate first, actual cost after
Before a review, its estimate is held. When it ends, only the actual cost is charged and the rest is released.
Plan credits renew monthly
Top-up credits last 12 months.
A run can go over
The balance can then go below zero, and the next action that spends credits waits until you top up or the month turns.
Always visible
Your account page shows the credits left, those held for work in progress and every charge.
Questions
Do I need a card to start?
No. The Free plan needs no card, only an account.
What happens when my credits run out?
Top up 100 credits, move to a larger plan, or wait for your credits to renew next month. Reading reviews, quick repo checks and exports keep working.
Should I pay monthly or yearly?
A year costs the same as 10 months, a saving of about 17%. Credits still come month by month.
Why can’t the Free plan run a Thorough review?
Before each review its estimate is held. A Thorough review needs about 58 credits, more than the 50 of the Free plan, so it takes a paid plan or top-up credits.
Am I charged if a run stops or fails?
Only for what the models did before it stopped. Nothing stays held once it ends.
Why does a review cost more than a chatbot answer?
It screens hundreds of abstracts, reads the most relevant papers in full and checks every quote against its paper. That reading is what the credits pay for.
